Just this morning, our team at the Rural School Support Organization met with a builder to discuss details for a new project at The Together Project farm: a co-ed dormitory.
As you may know, our farm teaches sustainable farming practices to local communities in order to alleviate food insecurity and increase their earnings. Soon, with the dormitory, the Together Project will be able to extend its reach to prospective students in areas that are too far to travel by day.
The dormitory will be able to house dozens of motivated learners and will include a porch and outdoor seating area, complete with electricity and plumbing. Here at The Together Project, we not only want to reach those in our immediacy, but those who need it most. We believe this project serves to this end.
