The Together Project Dormitory: Completed

Marking a very important step at the farm, we have finally built a dormitory.

We believe this will more completely fulfill the organization mission to support the farming community by teaching alternative family practices to all of Cambodia.
The facility provides any Cambodian the opportunity to learn from our farming practices, without any geographical constraints. Before its inclusion to the farm, the farm could only serve those who can travel within a day to the farm. Affording the student room and board as well as full coverage of transportation costs, we eliminate boundaries to access that many would-be students face.
Additionally we will train teachers from RSSO-supported schools on how to create and maintain a school garden. This is part of a government-mandated effort to educate primary students to grow their own farm at home. Many schools we support have already created a garden, but as a guiding spirit at RSSO, there is much more opportunity to teach and to learn.
The dormitory is split between gender by two rooms and can house dozens of guests at a time. Amenities include wifi, electricity, a veranda, and stand-alone outhouse, complete with a shower and toilet. The blueprint was to provide guests with a welcoming environment to learn. Seeing its completion in May 2024, the team is excited to the bright minds it will bring.
All the best,
Your team at RSSO
